Yes, it will not get as warm, about 180

What types of platters can I put on the tray?
Silver? Stainless? Ceramic? Plastic?
You can put silver, stainless, glass and
ceramic. Plastic trays that are rated for an oven are acceptable. Plastic
trays
rated for microwave safe are NOT suitable. The stainless steel serving
platter available when ordering with the purchase of warming tray is
is perfect for serving hot foods.
Does the bottom of the tray get hot? Could it harm my wood table or
special linens?
No, the underside of the tray does not get hot.
However, if the tray were tipped suddenly, wax could drip out, so always
place a cookie sheet, trivet or cloth underneath to protect special
linens or table surfaces.
Is the warming tray truly cordless?
Yes. It is heated by 3 tealight candles.
How long does the tray take to heat up?
About 20 to 30 minutes
Are the handles hot?
No. But, please use hot mitts
to transport the tray once it's hot in case you accidentally touch the
top surface. DO NOT transport the tray with the candles lit! Hot wax
could spill.
Can I put two of them side by side and
put a large platter (such as for turkey)
on top?
Yes
How long does the tray stay warm?
About three to five hours - or the length of
the burning time of the tealight candles
Does any tealight work?
Yes, any tealight that has a metal cup. DO NOT
use candles that do not have a metal tealight cup as they will melt
into the candleholder and cause a mess.
